One key challenge for bankers lies in determining how to provide mobile payments capabilities that mitigate fraud risk to merchant partners, without adding friction to the transaction process. This session will foster debate among industry leaders representing all facets of the ecosystem: a merchant, a banker, and technology provider. Participants will examine mobile shopping frameworks and solutions, the associated risks and key steps to fraud prevention.

Specifically, the panel will discuss:

  • The current mobile commerce landscape, including the various mobile shopping methods and the key security factors to consider
  • The role banks can play in increasing mobile shopping adoption. One of the biggest inhibitors to mobile shopping for consumers is the fear that their credit card information and sensitive data could be stolen in this new channel. Banks, above all other service providers, are trusted by consumers to protect them from fraud and can play a significant role in providing peace of mind that mobile transactions are secure
  • How to decrease friction while increasing conversions and security. Currently, complicated registration processes, multi-factor authentication, etc. negatively impacts conversion rates
