TD’s rapid growth in U.S. retail banking from toehold to a top 10 U.S. Bank in six short years is a story about creating a winning business model and taking advantage of marketplace opportunities.  Rapid expansion combined with TD’s ownership of TD Ameritrade created a unique opportunity for TD to launch an innovate business model to serve the investment and banking needs of the highly sought after Mass Affluent Customer.

TD, like many bank’s, operated a traditional “bank-licensed banker-broker-model.”  Carefully understanding the customer needs and cost to serve of this critical segment led TD rapidly and completely restructure its program leveraging its relationship with TD Ameritrade.  Hear about the common and unique challenges, opportunities and lessoned learned as TD launched drove this strategy throughout its 1,300 U.S. stores.
