Vice President of Global Payment Card Fraud and Investigations, First Data
Sean joined First Data in April 2015 having previously led large teams responsible for all aspects of debit card fraud investigations, anti-skimming operations, and associated regulatory filings as Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase and Senior Manager for Capital One Bank. In these roles, he created a real time monitoring solution to detect live ATM fraud scenarios and use of known compromised cards which enabled law enforcement to quickly respond and arrest those committing fraud. Sean has improved interaction models between call center analysts, investigators, and risk managers to coordinate expeditious and accurate fraud mitigation strategies of various types of payment cards.
Sean is a retired Police Officer, having risen to the rank of Chief of Police, for a municipality in Central NJ. He is also a graduate of 228th Session of FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA, and a recipient of the 200 Club Valor Award for his actions in apprehending an armed bank robbery suspect.
Sean serves as Board Member for The Campbell Foundation, a pediatric cancer foundation named after a close friend’s daughter, who lost her battle with cancer in 2014. The Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis by raising awareness, funding research and providing psycho‐social enrichment opportunities for families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
